If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Chrissy Teigen is high-key flattering Kourtney Kardashian.
The 35-year-old model took to Instagram this weekend to show off her newly-chopped hair—and to give credit where credit is due (to Kourt, obv).
“cause @kourtneykardash looked so keeeeyute!” Chrissy captioned a short Boomerang video showing off her new lewk.
ICYMI, Kourtney debuted her own bob last week and, in Chrissy’s defense, the look is enviable.

Kourt jumped into the comments on Chrissy’s post to give the quasi-copycat look her official stamp of approval. “Wow 😻😻😻,” she wrote.
And that reaction was pretty much the standard. Several other famous humans weighed in on Chrissy’s shorter cut and the consensus was that it looks great and/or inspires joyous explosions of emojis (Kris Jenner called it “GORGEOUS 🔥” and Whitney Cummings said, accurately, that it was a “big win, for example).
If it weren’t for her bullying scandal, “hair changes” might be the defining thing about 2021 for Chrissy, who dyed her hair pastel pink in April and joked about her “midlife crisis hair” when she donned a long, sleek silver wig in March.
Of course, a lot of people still have mixed (or even explicitly negative) feelings about Chrissy since several of the model’s old tweets resurfaced earlier this year, highlighting her past behavior of trolling and bullying. Chrissy apologized for the tweets in a Medium essay in June, writing, “There is simply no excuse for my past horrible tweets. My targets didn’t deserve them. No one does. Many of them needed empathy, kindness, understanding and support, not my meanness masquerading as a kind of casual, edgy humor. I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry.”
Chrissy took a break from social media for a bit after the tweets first resurfaced, but has mostly resumed business as usual on Instagram since July, when she posted a lengthy caption about feeling isolated and “brutally picked apart” following the backlash against her.
Maybe a dramatic haircut has some extra symbolic meaning for Chrissy right now as she navigates trying to move forward and make good on the promises she made in June to do better and prove she’s changed since her terrible tweet days? Or maybe we’re overthinking a haircut post. That’s also possible.
