Foo Fighters Cover B-52s, Psychedelic Furs On Another Surprise EP

Foo Fighters released another surprise EP, 01020225, that includes covers of the Psychedelic Furs‘ “Sister Europe” and the B-52s‘ “Planet Claire,” over the weekend.

“Planet Claire,” is the second single from the B-52s’ 1979 self-titled debut album, while “Sister Europe” appeared on the Psychedelic Furs’ 1980 debut album.

The band’s “The One,” which appeared on the soundtrack for the film Orange Country (2002), starring Colin Hanks and Jack Black, and “Win or Lose,” which was featured in Out Cold (2001), are the other two tracks on the new EP.

The EP is part of Foo Fighters’ ongoing Foo Files archival series that marks the celebration of next year’s 25th anniversary of the band’s debut album.

The EP has arrived close on the heels of the release of 01070725 on September 27.

The band’s last album was Concrete And Gold in 2017.
