Frank Iero was forced to cancel shows in Mexico due to health problems.
Iero took to Instagram to post an emotional video to explain to his fans how upset he was to cancel the shows.
His band, Frank Iero and the Future Violents, were set to play in Monterrey, Mexico City and Guadalajara.
Iero said his doctors advised him not to fly and asked him to cancel his shows as he was suffering from a “pretty nasty case of laryngitis and a brutal sinus infection.”
“I do not take postponing shows lightly, I know that when we book a gig and you buy a ticket that is an agreement between us that I have every intention of following through with,” Iero said. “However, ever since my accident in Sydney my body reacts in different ways and I unfortunately am not able to recover as quickly as I once did.”
“This particular case really knocked me out and I truly apologize but I have to listen to my body and what the doctors are telling me,” he added. “I promise to get back out to Mexico as soon as humanly possible and make it up to all of you. I’m so sorry this happened and I hope you can understand.”
All tickets purchased for the Monterrey, Mexico City, and Guadalajara shows will be either refundable or redeemable for the make up shows.
