Harry Derbidge announces engagement to Dean Rowland

The Only Way Is Essex star Harry Derbidge, 25, has announced the happy news that he is engaged to businessman Dean Rowland.

Gushing about his fiancé and the happy news on Instagram, Harry shared a photo go the couple wearing rings on their wedding fingers while they mile as they stand in front of a "congratulations" banner.

In the caption, Harry wrote: “We’re getting MARRIED,” with a bride emoji. He added: “I’m still in shock thank you everyone who was apart of our special day love you more then anything @mrdeanrowland.”

Celebrity friends and fans flooded the comments section to congratulate Harry and Dean.

TOWIE's Sam Faiers wrote: “Congratulations xxx,” with several heart and clapping hands emojis.

Love Island’s Hannah Elizabeth wrote: “Congraaaaats babe,” with a heart eyes a love heart emoji.

Harry's cousin Amy Childs, 29, who recently split from the father of her second child, posted a photo of her standing with the happy couple while Harry holds her daughter Polly, two, with a balloon wall and giant light-up "D & H" letters in the background.

Amy wrote alongside her photo: “Can’t wait for polly to be bridesmaid. You both make me so happy, thank you for making me apart of your day. [sic]

The happy couple celebrated with friends and family last night with a party organised by Amy Childs.

In an adorable video of the party, Harry is blindfolded as he's led into the garden party by his fiancé and surprised by guests.

The glamorous garden do, which was complete with a stylish drinks van and DJ, was attended by friends and family of the couple including a few faces from TOWIE and other reality shows including Frankie Essex, 31, Chloe Sim’s sister Frankie Sims, 24, The X Factor’s Tracy Leanne, 36, and TOWIE newbie Harry Lee, 23.


Harry shot to fame after appearing on The Only Way Is Essex but later left the show in 2011.

He later made a brief return in 2014 and dated TOWIE cast mate Booby Norris, 33. However, the couple split after arguing over one of Harry’s exes. Speaking exclusively to OK! online at the time, Bobby said he was “devastated” when they split.

"And I'm gutted it turned out how it did," he said. But, it seems there was no love lost for Harry after the relationship ended.

Speaking to Star Magazine in 2015, Harry said: “I made a mistake and it never worked out.

“He's slagged me off a couple of times. I wouldn't say hello to him. I don't want anything to do with him. It's sad.”

After splitting from Bobby, Harry left TOWIE for good later in 2014.

Harry later made a return to our screens last year when he appeared on Gemma Collins’ reality show, Diva España.

The reality star now works as a makeup artist and events manager for Harrods.

Bobby and Harry’s break up was claimed to be staged for the cameras by co-star Sam Faiers, but Harry later denied those claims.

He said: “Unfortunately, me and Bobby were not set up, but TV plays things up ten times more. I wasn't a cheat and never have been.”

Speaking about his relationship status and future plans in 2015, he added: “I always dreamed of getting engaged young and getting married, and I do dream about that all the time. But right now I want to be single – I don't need a man.”

He previously opened up about his food phobia in 2017. In a chat on Loose Women the star revealed: “I was so young. I joined TOWIE at a very young age.

“I joined at the age of 16 and I didn’t realise how severely skin and bone I was.”

He then explained he was diagnosed with a food phobia and explained how it impacted his health: “I could go a day without eating. My mum used to give me packed lunches and send me to school with lots of food. "It was a bit of an OCD."

"I didn’t really see anything as a problem as a kid. To me that’s how I looked," he added.
