Jamie Bell paid a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday (July 24) and dished all about his new film Skin, where he plays a young man raised by racist skinheads and notorious among white supremacists.
“It’s based on a true story, I play a character called Bryon Widner, he was a neo-Nazi for most of his life,” the 33-year-old actor told Stephen. “He’s covered head-to-toe in tattoos, meets this woman and her third children. The story with him, it’s a coming to a consciousness – it’s an awakening of a man.”
“He goes through two years of very painful surgery to remove these tattoos in order to, ultimately, in attempt to reform himself,” Jamie concluded.
