As Love Island continues to try and mix things up by adding new housemates to the villa, the biggest twist always comes when Casa Amor is introduced.
Casa Amor is well known for splitting the boys from the girls into two separate houses where a whole cast of new singles enter in hopes of making it as a long stay member of the main house, by pairing up with the long term members.
With ITV well aware of the intrigue Casa Amor brings, they’re scrambling to get the new Casa Amor house built for the mid point of the show, it has been reported.
A source at The Sun said: “Everyone is working around the clock to make sure it looks the part, but it’s just not quite ready yet. As soon as it’s done, they’re going to have it on screen.”
Fans were initially worried the segment would be cancelled after the US and South African versions of the show omitted it from their production.
In 2018, Ofcom received over 2,500 complaints after Love Island winner Dani Dyer was presented a video of her boyfriend Jack Fincham seeming to cheat on her with an ex, who'd been brought in for the Casa Amor segment.
Host of the Show Laura Witmore has spoken about the upcoming Casa Amor portion of the show.
She said: “Casa Amor hasn’t happened yet, and that throws a massive spanner in the works, it’ll all change.
“I will be there when s**t hits the fan. It is spicy, and we’re not even halfway.
"This happens every year. And once we get to the halfway mark… Casa Amor. I tells ya. We’re saving the extra chilli for then.”
With a number of partnerships in the show being made up of friendships, there will be a number of single lads and ladies looking to find a new match when the segment hits, but fans will be wondering if any of the more serious couples could wander when given the chance.
