Tuesday night's episode of Love Island is set to pack double the punch with not one but two Islanders facing the chop from the villa.

In the nail-biting episode, viewers will be at the edge of their seat as a girl and a boy from any couple may be given their marching orders.

ITV2 have even extended the show from 9pm to 10.05 pm to allow plenty of time for the dramatic scenes to unfold.

Voiceover host Iain Stirling teased the tense turn of events on Monday night's episode when he asked the public to choose their favourite girl and boy contestants to save.

On Tuesday night, the Islanders have a 70s-themed party, but it is interrupted when they receive a text calling them to the fire pit.

Faye reads: “Islanders. Can you all gather around the fire pit?”

Hugo receives the next text which reads: “The public have been voting for their favourite girl and favourite boy. Those with the fewest votes are at risk of being dumped from the Island tonight.”

Hot on the heels of Sharon Gaffka's exit, those with the fewest votes may have to leave the show.

Sharon sparked a romance with Aaron Francis, but it was short-lived, and she was dramatically dumped from the villa following the re-coupling.

While she was in the villa, Sharon made an impression on some viewers from her local town of Didcot, Oxfordshire as she said: "Of course I stand out in Didcot, look at me."

After leaving the villa, Sharon, whose previous job at McDonald's has been unveiled in a throwback photo, has urged people to be kind as she returned to Instagram.

The beauty shared a photo of herself posing in a pink aeroplane and wrote in the caption: "Finally back in the UK, laying on my sofa with the pizza I've been craving for weeks!"

She praised fans for their support as she added: "Thank you so much to everyone who has sent messages love and support! It's been a huge whirlwind so it all means the world to me!", followed by a red heart emoji.

Sharon then urged: "But also a reminder to those who have taken time to send me some less pleasant messages, please remember that I am only human.

"Summer 2021 hasn't ended just yet!", before ending the caption with a sun emoji.
