Mary Bedford and Aaron Simpson have reunited just weeks after confirming their romance was over.

Social media influencer Mary, 22, and 24 year old footballer Aaron met on Love Island when he entered the villa last month, just missing out on a spot in the final.

However, just days after exiting the villa, blonde beauty Mary confirmed the pair were no longer together and were instead focusing on their friendship.

Aaron has now shared a short video of him hugging Mary as they both attended Wireless Festival with other Islanders in London over the weekend, sending fans into a frenzy.

Addressing his 129,000 Instagram followers, Aaron said to the camera: "So, there's a very special someone," before flipping the camera to show Mary dancing.

He shouts: "Ayyy!" as she runs towards him, throwing her arms around him, "MB!," he shouts as the pair embrace one another.

However, it seems that hope for a romantic reunion is off the cards as Mary is heard saying: "We're friends" to the camera.

Mary opened up on their pair's split earlier this month, stating that the death of her grandmother made her want to focus on herself.

She said during an Instagram Q&A: "Coming out of the villa and finding out the news about my grandma completely threw me, I've never lost anyone close to me so it has been really hard to be honest…

"A result of this my head is all over the place, and all I knew is I wanted to be back home surrounded by my loved ones."

Hinting that her feelings for Aaron were still strong, Mary closed out her message by writing: "But who knows about the future."

Aaron later told The Sun: "It was hard to see her Instagram story the other day as that's more than she has said to me.

"It would have been nice to have spoken – when I like someone I want to make sure they're ok.

"It's been hard being shut out – I want to be there for her."
