Naga Munchetty, 45, is often finds herself in fits of giggles on-air, whether it be BBC Breakfast or her Radio 5 Live show. Admitting she can be pretty “childish” at times, the presenter was called out by her co-star Geoff Lloyd, for making a rude innuendo on the airwaves.
But I do love a well done… sausage…
Discussing the highly-anticipated BBQ season, Geoff confessed he was a more of a “beta male” rather than a BBQ chief.
“I’m vegetarian, which doesn’t help,” he shrugged.
Naga revealed she’s a pescatarian before adding: “But I do love a well done… sausage…”
The 45-year-old struggled to get the sentence out as she spluttered with laughter after realising what she’d said out loud could be misconstrued.
As Naga continued to giggle away, a stunned Geoff chimed: “Well, I can really singe some halloumi if that does the job?”
“Oh can you!” she continued, shrieking with laughter.
After managing to compose herself for a moment, the host read aloud a listener’s tip for getting the best flavours on the grill, which included marinading the meat for 24 Horus, cooking it slowly and keeping it well oiled for moisture.
“How’s that for a tip!” she said, impressed.
Geoff replied: “It’s great and if they do a Carry On roboot Naga, what we’ve learnt in the past 30 seconds is that you would be in pole position.”
A wide-eyed Naga agreed, chuckling: “Honestly it is my MO [modus operandi].
“I cant help it, I’m slightly childish at times!”
She added: “But you know, embrace your inner child!”

It’s not the first time the presenter quizzed her colleagues about their BBQ habits.
Clearly looking forward to long summer nights ahead with pals when Covid restrictions ease, earlier on in the show she pressed her co-star Simon on his techniques.
“We’re trying to get the trick to a good British BBQ,” she said.
“Apparently, I’m half way there!”
Simon paused before sheepishly replying: “I do love a BBQ but I think I cheat,” he began.
“I use a gas BBQ these days.”
Gasps could be heard in the studio as Naga winced, sighing: “Some things shouldn’t be said on air,” she retorted.
Simon sounded apologetic as he continued: “I know but I BBQ more often than if I had a charcoal one!”
Naga’s Radio 5 Live show airs weekdays at 10am.
