Tanya Bardsley has opened up about her battle with coronavirus after she and her family all contracted the virus and were forced to self isolate.

The mum of four, who recently became the face of a sleepwear brand, revealed that she tested positive, as well as her daughter Gabriella, 19, and husband Phil, 35.

Speaking to Manchester Evening News, the 39 year old said: "My daughter had it, my husband had it and I had it.

"We all had it at different times so we had two weeks of isolation, another two and then another two," she admitted.

Despite contracting the deadly virus, Tanya said that apart from a dry cough and a temperature, it didn't affect her too much.

"I've had worse tonsillitis," the reality star explained.

Apart from getting COVID-19, the Cheshire native enjoyed the lockdown period and didn't get into any arguments with husband Phil.

While speaking to OK! Online in October, the ITVBe star, who previously explained that she wants more surgery despite having a botched boob job, said: "Me and Phil didn't argue once. We had a lovely time.

"We only really argue when he's stressed at work, or I'm stressed at work and we didn't have any of that, so we had the best time ever.

"We had a couple of the kids' birthdays and we played pass-the-parcel, musical bumps and musical statues," she shared.

After spending the entirety of lockdown with her kids and husband, the WAG was grateful to be back on sets filming for Real Housewives of Cheshire and spending time away from the family.

"It's good to be away from my kids! They're normal little boys and when we couldn't go to the park or anything, it was hard. Little boys are like wild animals and need to run around," Tanya divulged.

On the last series of the reality series, Tanya fell out with co-star Dawn Ward but although they previously buried the hatchet, the pair are not on speaking terms again.

"Now I've decided she has her life, I have mine and let's stop arguing and not see each other. With Covid, that's actually going really well, as I've not seen her yet," the former model said.

When asked if the two could move past their differences and become friends again, Tanya explained: "I think we're a bit past it, but you never know."
