Mum-to-be Rebecca Adlington has taken to social media this week following her 20-week baby scan. The 31-year-old, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Andrew Parsons, could be seen cradling her baby bump in a sweet snap, which she shared with her 93,600 Instagram followers.
The former Olympic medal-winning swimmer, who is already mum to Summer, five, who she shares with ex-husband Harry Needs, dressed her bump in a simple white T-shirt and comfortable trousers.
The fresh-faced star looked radiant and wore her hair loose as she posed for the camera halfway through her pregnancy.
In her caption, Rebecca revealed that her partner wasn’t allowed to attend the ultrasound scan due to the current restrictions at hospitals following the coronavirus outbreak and felt sad that he was missing out on the “magical” experience of seeing his child for the first time.
Possibly revealing the gender of her unborn baby, the TV star informed her fans that she loved seeing her “little guy” again and shared a blue heart emoji next to her photo.
“Had my 20week scan this week and loved seeing this little guy again,” she wrote online.
She went on to say: “Andy isn’t allowed in with me, so sad partners aren’t allowed to be part of these magical stages.”
Offering some advice to parents-to-be who are in a similar situation, the sports pundit added: “Highly recommend following @pregnant_then_screwed to others in the same boat.
“Luckily he’s been able to feel baby P kick at least!” the star said.

Instagram followers and fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts and similar experiences.
“It’s so rubbish isn’t it. Partners are missing out so much at the moment,” said former reality star Maria Fowler, who gave birth to her second child at the start of the month.
TV presenter Ade Adepitan also found himself in a similar position.
“Congratulations Becky! I’m in the same boat and haven’t been able to join my wife for any of our scans, even when we had a serious scare at 12 weeks!
“Sadly I think it’s gonna be the same for birth. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy,” he added.
Complimenting Rebecca on her pregnancy glow, a third follower remarked: “You look absolutely beautiful….”
Another added: “You look lovely. It’s so awful partners are missing out on these things. It just doesn’t seem very fair at all.”
