Rebel Wilson says she would consume ‘3,000 calories most days’ before incredible weight loss transformation

After losing almost three stone in the last 11 months, Rebel Wilson has now shared details about how she has overhauled her lifestyle and eating habits.

The actress, who recently trained with SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton, said that before her weight loss journey, she was consuming thousands of calories but was still hungry.

Speaking to People, she explained: "Before I was probably eating 3,000 calories most days, and because they were normally carbs, I would still be hungry.

The Sydney born star, 40, went on to detail which food changes she has incorporated into her diet.

"So I've really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn't used to eat a lot of meat.

"I eat fish, salmon and chicken breast," she added.

Despite changing her food habits and intake, the entertainer hasn't completely ruled out eating naughty foods and is opting for a balance.

"It doesn't mean every week is a healthy week. Some weeks are just write offs, and there's nothing you can do about it.

"I'm just trying to go for overall balance, overall healthy balance."

The comedian, who hung out with Love Island stars Montana Brown and Georgia Harrison earlier this year, still allows herself to eat fast food, but eats less than she would do before.

"I have this state of being, which is not my quote, but I go 'Nothing is forbidden.' We'll be like, 'Should we get In-N-Out burger?' And I'm like, 'Nothing is forbidden.'"

"I can go there, I just might eat half of what I used to eat before," the Pitch Perfect star shared.

"You know? And I'll have a burger, and a few fries, and then you feel fine."

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Rebel was not busy with work and could therefore spend time focusing on her diet.

"I really took it as time to get really well-rested and de-stress. Because most of my stress is work-related. I definitely think with the slow down, it did help.

"I think I was emotional eating, and overeating at times, and because I wasn't loving myself enough either. And it does come down to that self worth and self love," Rebel divulged.
