Sam Faiers and Luisa Zissman hysterical as they raise £100k in 72 hours for Moldova orphanage

Sam Faiers and Luisa Zissman were over the moon to realise they'd managed to raise a whopping £100,000 in just 72 hours for an orphanage in Moldova.

The friends were so taken-aback by the result they couldn't stop crying.

In a black and white image The Only Way Is Essex favourite Sam, 30, shared to her Instagram page, she leaned in to The Apprentice star with her hands covering her face.

Luisa, 34, also looked pained as she couldn't stop the tears from rolling at their immense achievement.

The two women stood in London's Luton airport and were wearing casual hoodies and jeans for the powerful moment, their bags alongside them on the seats.

"OMGGGGG OMGGGGG We have raised over £100,000 in 72 hours. We’re hysterical. This is more than we could ever imagine… ever," Sam captioned the post.

"Over the past 3 days we have been sharing our journey with you to raise as much as we can to keep these children alive and safe. The money we’ve raised will keep the orphanage operating at a basic level for nearly a year.

"We would love to keep going & keep pushing to secure the best care with physios, dentists, more nurses, more carers & nannies."

"I can’t wait to update you all in a few weeks with what the money you have raised is doing for these children," the reality star continued.

"My heart is full of gratitude and love. Words can’t even explain this feeling I have.

Sam went on to say that Luisa and her husband have supported the charity "for years" and have spent "millions" keeping the "children alive", and she's "so proud" to now be a part of the orphanage family.

The mum-of-two started her journey a couple of years ago, and she said she'll "always" do what she can to help the children, adding: "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts," Sam added.

Sam's mum Suzie Wells commented: "Amazing ladies love yous," and the star's sister Billie added: "Wow!! That’s is amazing well done girls."

Three days earlier, Sam also shared an image of her and Luisa at the same airport getting ready to fly out to Moldova.

"Here we are on our way to visit the babies, children & teens at the orphanage in Moldova," she told her followers. "Last time @luisazissman and I came was Autumn 2019, we planned to come back in March 2020 but covid stopped that.

"The money we raised last time was amazing, it funded the orphanage for the guts of a year but sadly no other fundraising efforts have been able to go ahead due to restrictions in 2021.

When Suzie the doctor who runs the orphanage called us to tell us they were in desperate need we organised a trip straight away," the star added, also posting a go fund me link for her fans to raise money at the time.
