The One Show’s Alex Jones took to Instagram to show off her growing baby bump with her 300,000 followers in a cute snap.

The BBC presenter, 44, is pregnant with her third child with husband Charlie Thomson.

Alex took a mirror selfie and stood to the side to show off her growing bump as she posed with a shocked expression with the caption: “getting bigger”.

The TV favourite looked gorgeous in the black maxi dress that was frilled at the top and had a tie detail at the front.

Alex wore her brunette hair down with a wavy blow dry as she posed for the shot.

She posed to the front in a second picture showing the dress complimenting her figure and growing bump.

Posing with her hand on her hip, she smiled in the selfie as she showed off silver hooped earrings to match the look.

She partnered the dress with nude block heeled mule sandals and was made up in dark eye make-up and pink lipstick as she prepared to film that night’s One Show for the BBC.

Writing over the photo, Alex said: “A little @topshop number last night. Not maternity, just sized up.”

The presenter is expecting her third child in August and She and husband Charlie know they are having a girl this time around.

Alex and her insurance broker husband already have two children, Teddy, four, and Kit, two.

She recently told OK!it feels ‘amazing’ to be adding a daughter to their brood.

When asked about how she felt about expecting a girl this time round, she said: “Really excited! It’s a huge gift. I suppose deep down I would never have said it because we were so lucky to have two lovely boys, but having a girl was always something that was there. I just thought our time had passed and it wasn’t going to happen.”

Alex also opened up to us about how different her pregnancy has been this time around, not least because it’s been during the Covid pandemic.

“I’ve had no face-to-face contact with midwives at all,” the yoga-loving mum revealed. “At the minute I’m just hoping that everything is okay.”

Alex is still splitting her time between the BBC studios and her London family home, until she feels ready to hand her presenting reins over to The One Show’s latest recruits, Ronan Keating and Jermaine Jenas.
