Zoe Ball, who fronts her self-titled Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, admitted she is a “bit swollen” after suffering an injury. It comes as the BBC host revealed she had attended a farewell party with crew members from Strictly Come Dancing’s spin-off show It Takes Two.
The 50-year-old urged listeners to share their most troubling incidents with her on-air today in solidarity.
It didn’t take long for Zoe to reveal that she was forced to tend to her ankle after falling over.
The presenter twisted her foot after falling off the curb.
The mum-of-two also shared the incidents did not stop there after suffering another accident once she reached the BBC studios.
“I fell down on the curb last night and went over on my ankle. It’s a little bit swollen,” Zoe told listeners.
“I’ve had some peas strapped to my ankle all night with cling film.”
She continued: “My producer Ricky keeps saying, ‘Do I want a footstool. Keep it raised.’
“But then I got into work and fell over a bucket.”
Zoe added: “Another thing is coming as you share with me your calamitous times.”
The news of her injury comes just hours after the presenter cheekily admitted that she may not turn up for her show due to the festivities.
Zoe commented yesterday: “I’m off later to our It Takes Two goodbye party. Ian Waite, myself and some of the crew.
“Because some of us are moving on this year and we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye.”

“So a bit of a shindig tonight,” she added.
Zoe and her It Takes Two co-star Ian announced their exit from the Strictly spin-off show in May.
Elsewhere, the Radio 2 presenter joked that she believed she had spotted Tom Cruise while perusing the streets of London.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Zoe shared the clues that the Mission Impossible actor was in close proximity.
The broadcaster filmed a helicopter that flew overhead before sharing a Ferrari parked outside a plush restaurant.
Zoe captioned the post: “Is it Tom Cruise? #CruiseNews.”
It comes after a helicopter carrying Tom landed in a family’s garden in Warwickshire, because the local airport in Coventry was closed earlier this week.
The Hollywood star also visited an Indian restaurant in Birmingham where he posed for pictures at the weekend.
Zoe Ball’s Breakfast Show airs weekdays on Radio 2 at 6.30am.
