I banned my family from using the living room light so we have a £3 alternative that saves loads on electricity too | The Sun

A SAVVY homeowner has revealed how she creates the perfect mood lighting in her living room – while saving on her electricity bills.

TikToker Ashley, who posts under the account @our_gaff_, shared a video where she shows off a strip of LED lights, which can be purchased for as little as £3, and a packet of Command strips to hang them with.

In the clip, she then films her living room and explains: "I don't have many rules for my house, but I do have one.

"And that is than we never ever, ever, ever use the big light."

She's then seen placing a strip of LED light strips around the back of her sofa, creating the perfect mood lighting without having to turn on the main ceiling light.

And it's the perfect solution for anyone looking to cut back on their electricity bills.
