Kate Middleton, 39, regularly adds stunning pieces of jewellery to her looks. From necklaces to bracelets to rings, the Duchess is known for her love of both high-end and high-street jewellery pieces.

The 39-year-old joined the Royal Family when she married Prince William, 38, in 2011.

The Duke got down on one knee a year prior to the marriage in Westminster Abbey and gave the Duchess a stunning engagement ring.

Prince William popped the question to Kate in Kenya while on holiday at Lewa Safari Camp.

It previously belonged to Princess Diana and Kate pairs it with her Welsh gold wedding band.

Although Kate tends to keep her rings to a minimum, she does have some beautiful ones in her collection.

This includes her ruby ring that she is often seen wearing out and about.

The Duchess first debuted the ring when on a visit in Poland and she has worn it occasionally since.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Roseanna Croft, founder of Roseanna Croft Jewellery explained that the ruby ring could be worth a fortune.

She said: “The Duchess of Cambridge’s ruby ring I estimate to be worth in the region of £35,000 and is a stunning piece of timeless yet ‘on trend’ jewellery – a step away from the traditional jewels worn by the Royal Family.

“The setting is elegant and really helps the stone to stand proud in the ring with a simple diamond set band accentuating the ruby even more.”

The Duchess has added her ruby ring to her outfits over the past couple of years, matching it to the red clutches she will regularly use.

The expert added: “She is thought to have worn it paired with a white Alexander McQueen peplum dress as a nod to the colours of the Polish flag when she was on tour with her family in Poland.”

Kate will regularly match her jewellery pieces to a specific event she is attending or add colours of the country’s flag to her look.

As well as her ruby ring, the Duchess also has a citrine ring in her collection.

It caught the attention of fans while she was at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

Though it appeared to be a new addition, the piece is thought to have been in her collection for several years prior.

Throughout lockdown, Kate has stepped away from her expensive rings and just opted to keep it simple with her engagement ring.

Her sapphire engagement ring featured a 12-carat oval sapphire surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds.

It previously belonged to Princess Diana and was inherited by William when she passed away in 1997.

The royal jewel cost £28,000 when it was first bought but is currently valued at a staggering £300,000.
