We’re wedding dress stylists – the mistakes brides make when shopping & why inviting all your bridesmaids never works | The Sun

THREE wedding dress stylists have lifted the lid on the biggest mistakes brides-to-be make when shopping for their outfit for their big day.

Destiny Bridal and Prom Boutique posted a video across their social media accounts where three of their staff members shared their biggest no-go’s, having witnessed them all in the past.

The women who work at the boutique, located in Middlesbrough, recorded a tongue-in-cheek clip of them pointing out things, including why having all your bridesmaids with you on the day doesn’t work.

They began by saying: “Serious DON'TS when wedding dress shopping.”

The ladies then launched into the list of four, with “wearing makeup on your neck and chest” coming in right at the top.

That’s because the make-up can often find its way onto the white and cream dresses and leave marks for other future blushing brides.

The second mistake they highlighted was when brides feel the need to invite all of their bridesmaids to their appointment.

Presumably, this can often descend into chaos as each of the bridal party give their contradicting views resulting in too many cooks.

Next on the list of common errors was when women “try and lose weight before shopping” for their outfit.

While they also noted that another big no is when women arrive not wearing any underwear.
