This year has been a royal clusterf*ck of chaotic astro-weather, which has clearly been represented in, um, *waves hands*. But the final Big Bad transit of 2020 is reaching an end! Mars, the planet of ego, action, and libido, has been retrograde in Aries since September 9, but on November 13, the retrograde is officially over!
During Mars Retrograde, you’re less energetic, you’re less driven, and your libido is low. If you started any new jobs, projects, or relationships during this time, they likely got off to a bumpy start (or just failed entirely). But now that the retrograde is over now, so all of these woes will soon be a thing of the past!
Don’t get it twisted: Mars Retrograde isn’t a time where you just become a total flop for no reason. It’s a period of time you’re urged to hit “pause” and rethink your approach to everything Mars rules (energy, libido, ego, etc.). If you had anger management issues during the retrograde, now you’re learning how to channel that energy in a productive way. Maybe you set really ambitious goals and exhausted yourself trying to reach them, and now you’re able to make a plan that will actually work. If you’ve just not been ~in the mood~, now you’re able to stop, think about why you’re not feeling that spark, and try to fix it—like by trying something new in bed, or even by accepting that it’s time to end things.
Mars is a total firecracker of a planet, and this retrograde was meant to teach you that a little calculation and mindfulness goes a long way. The world isn’t magically going back to how things used to be, but with this doozy of a transit out of the way, life is becoming way, way easier.
Read your post-retrograde horoscopes for your Sun/Rising sign:
Mars was retrograde in your sign, so you arguably got the worst of the worst of this transit—especially because Mars is your ruling planet. You’re super headstrong, and you’ve had to learn that you need to compromise instead of insisting on your own way all the time. Mars is the warrior planet, and when it’s in your sign, you feel strong and ready for action—but what warrior who fights alone? Now you know that you can be a fighter or just a boss ass bitch who gets sh*t done without being inconsiderate to others.
This retrograde was a real toughie for you—it took all of projects, jobs, and relationships you initiated within the past two years, and brought them back around for review. You celebrated the wins and accepted the losses, and now’s your chance to take what’s left—projects you dropped, jobs you left incomplete, and relationships that ended badly—and decide what to do with them. Who and what from your past are worth keeping around? How can you integrate them back into your life? This is not the time to act, but a time to consider, think, and plan—that way, when Mars enters your sign in January, you can have a fresh start.
The infighting with your squad reached a breaking point during Mars Retrograde, and now you’re able to pick up the pieces and decide who’s worth keeping around. You’ve had just about enough of controlling, manipulative friends—or, alternatively, argumentative, pot-stirring friends. They’re heading out the door as soon as you tell them to hit the road, Gemini, so get to it! You deserve to be surrounded by people who support you as much as you support them.
This retrograde has been a huge lesson in self-assertion for you, especially in your professional life. You’ve really, really been wanting that big promotion or that raise, but fear of failure (or fear of recognition) has held you back. Keep working hard and slaying on the job, because your higher-ups are 110% watching your progress—all you have to do is start that convo with them and you can make some real magic happen.
Life’s been stagnant lately, and now it’s time to ask yourself, “Why have I felt so stuck in place?” Go on an adventure. This might mean an actual (safe!!! local!!!) vacation to “find yourself,” or it could mean that you’re exploring new job opportunities, trying out something new in your love/sex life, going back to school, or simply finding a new hobby. Find something, or someone, that excites you and makes you feel alive.
You’re finally getting all of the financial drama of the past couple of months sorted out. Debts that you owe others and that others owe you are being settled, once and for all (and hopefully your bank account isn’t hurting too much). On a totally different note, your sex life is improving, too—you’ve been struggling to feel turned on or satisfied, but by introducing new ways to have fun or a new partner, you’re finding that lost spark. With your finances and sex life so dependent on other people (like your student loan lender and your S.O.), you felt kinda helpless during the retrograde. But now, you’re feeling a stronger sense of autonomy and things are looking up!
This Mars Retrograde has been highlighting all sorts of inequalities in your relationships, and since you’re the sign of balance, this has been very, very tough. You’ve had to take every issue with your bestie or your boo (even if it’s beef from 5ever ago), address it, and find a solution. Now it’s time to loosen up and find balance in your relationship again—or, if your partner’s the problem, tell them straight-up to get it together, or just get rid of them. Nobody has time for shitty relationships (platonic, romantic, or otherwise), and this post-retrograde moment is a time when these connections are being either repaired or ended, for good.
This retrograde was centralized around your health/wellness, urging you to take a look at how you take care of yourself and your day-to-day routine. Whether you were snacking on junk food every day, staying up til 3AM, or drinking so much you got a hangover, your poor health habits probably caught up to you. Now’s the time to be honest with yourself, look at your behavior, and make a plan to change your routine. Starting healthy habits is hard, but the daily health/wellness routine you begin now will help you to feel good (physically and mentally) for a long, long time.
Although this retrograde was (arguably) easier for your sign than most of the zodiac, it was still wild! You felt stuck, tired, and unmotivated. That’s because the people/things that used to spark joy in your life simply aren’t compatible with the person you are now, and you need more variety in your life. You’re a flexible, adaptable mutable sign, so change isn’t really scary to you—in fact, you welcome new experiences with open arms. Whether you get a new partner, new friends, a new job, or a new personal hobby doesn’t matter, just know that the theme of your life right now is “new love.”
There’s been chaos at home for the past couple of months, thanks to Mars Retrograde. Some of it’s been totally out of your control—appliances breaking down, tech glitches, that sort of thing—and some of it’s actually in your control, like disagreements, arguments, or passive-aggressiveness with your family or roommates. Now that the retrograde is over, you know what exactly is causing these issues, and you can use Mars’ energy for your own Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Be upfront and tell your roomies/parents/whoever that there’s a problem that you want to figure out a solution to. Channel your energy towards finding a compromise. That way, the drama can finally end, and you’ll feel safe, happy, and secure at home.
Your aggressive Martian side has been coming out way too much in your communication, and this past retrograde has really urged you to look at the hows/whys behind your inability to connect with others. You’re opinionated and you’re totally unapologetic about who you are and what you believe, but when you refuse to listen to different ways of thinking, all you’re doing is tearing up your relationships. You’ve learned the importance of listening during this retrograde. Now that Mars is direct, you’re accepting different ways of thinking—and every conversation you have isn’t blowing up into an argument anymore.
After a couple of months of financial dramz, you’re finally realizing now that being –reckless with your money maybe isn’t the best move! If you haven’t successfully made a budget or started healthier spending habits by now, it’s time to figure out a way to manage your money! That might mean asking someone else for help setting a budget, or by just being a little tough on yourself and saying, “No, you don’t really need a fifth pair of tie-dye sweatpants.” Treat yourself days are great for short-term pleasure, but not long-term financial security. Re-prioritize where you spend your $$.
