I'm convinced my boyfriend's using me for a roof over his head | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: I AM convinced my boyfriend is using me for a roof over his head.

He takes no interest in me and never asks about my day. We’re not even intimate any more.

I had been single for a long time. I’m 36 and happy in my own space.

My boyfriend is 29 and I met him through a friend. He asked me on a date and we got along well.

After a couple of months, he assumed we were an item and moved in without really asking.

He assumed it was OK to keep moving more of his possessions in.

Now I’ve had enough. I would like to tell him that I like my weekends on my own and I’d prefer him to visit during the week.

He buys all our food and he cooks – I can’t knock him for that – but he is no longer interested in me.

After dinner, he’s on his phone all night.

We live like brother and sister and he often falls asleep on the sofa and stays there the night.

I feel resentful and want my life back.
