Kate Middleton’s brother, James Middleton, did what a whole host of others were doing during lockdown and took things into his own hands on the hair front, shaving off his beard for the first time in seven years.
Taking to Instagram, the 32 year old could be seen, razor in hand, sitting in the back of a truck surrounded by his dogs, in a clip captioned: “It’s been 7 years since I last shaved, so I decided to surprise Alizee…”
The short and playful clip was filmed at Kate Middleton’s parents, Carole and Michael’s, home, where Kate Middleton grew up and where her brother James isolated with his French fiancée Alizee Thevenet.
Writing on the video, James penned: “Alizee has never seen me without a beard,” and can be heard saying in the clip: “Seeming as Alizee and myself were due to get married this month, she's never seen me without a beard.

“I thought it was about time to show her what's behind it. In fact, what I'm most worried about is that these lots might not recognise me after. Say goodbye!”
Kate Middleton’s stunning family home is located in Bucklebury, Berkshire, and in the videos we catch a glimpse of it as James rushes to the house to show off his face without a beard.
Carole, 65, and Michael Middleton, 75, are enjoying a glass of wine at an outdoor table during the clip, in a garden featuring trimmed hedges and beautiful flower displays.
A wheelbarrow brimming with foliage can be seen resting on the stone area where the Middleton’s are seated and an excitable Alizee rushes up to James, post-shave, and says: “Ahhh omg! It's so weird! Even when I kiss you it's different!”
Who are the godparents to the royal children? From Prince George to Archie Harrison
Kate is the oldest of three children, with brother James and Pippa Middleton, 36, being her younger siblings. Mum Carole Middleton, who met husband Michael while working as a flight attendant for British Airways, is the founder of Party Pieces, which was estimated to be worth $40 million in 2018.
In the video filmed by James we also catch a glimpse of what appears to be a guest house, with bunting hanging from its roof, and the whole home, from what we see, looks well cared for.
Kate Middleton hacks
James showed off more of the stunning home while appearing in a video about the health benefits of apples for dogs.
Kate's brother appeared in an Instagram video for pet supplies company Ella & Co and the rustic kitchen could be seen in the background.
James' sweet spaniel posed in the shot on an island as he spoke about why apples are a great source of fibre for dogs.
And the beautiful farmhouse-style kitchen boasts a large clock, a range cooker and cream tiles, all of which make the space seem very homely.

Also in view were pots and pans galore, showing that the Middleton's could well be avid chefs.
Kate is very close to her family and it’s believed Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis regularly stay over at the Berkshire-based home.
Speaking to The Telegraph in 2018, in a rare interview, Carole Middleton said she enjoys putting Christmas trees up in the home, adding that she’ll put trees in the grandchildrens’ rooms too “so that they can decorate it themselves.” She also described both her son-in-laws as “lovely” during the chat.
