Dragons’ Den is returning with a new series tonight which sees new investors on the panel alongside familiar old faces. Touker Suleyman has been a Dragon on the show since 2015, but how did he make his fortune?

According to Spear’s Magazine, the investor is worth an eye-watering £150 million. 

He was born into a Turkish-Cypriot family and later moved to England where he attended school in Peckham. 

The 67-year-old stepped into retail at the age of just 18, buying pieces for his grandmother to sell to her fiends. 

He established his own brand in 1976, Kingsland Models, which supplied womenswear to high-street shops like Dorothy Perkins and Topshop.

In 1984, he acquired a wholesale business called Low Profile, which made garments for fashion brands. 

He moved its base to Turkey and later expanded to other countries like Bulgaria and Georgia. 

The wealth it brought in for Touker meant he was able to start investing in property. 

Low Profile because the most successful company at the Turkish Business Awards in 2012 and now helps to supply to stores like Marks and Spencer.

In 2001, the company acquired Hawkes & Curtis for just £1 after the company was in £500,000 in debt and was about to go into administration. 

It rose from £600,000 in 2001 to £30 million in 2014, while Touker retained the Chairman of the company. 

He later purchased UK fashion label Ghost as well as investing in multiple other brands like Tru-Tension, an innovative motorcycle and cycling brand.

In 2015, Touker was listed 637th in The Sunday Times Rich List.

The same year, he was chosen to join the investors’ panel on the 13th series of Dragons’ Den, alongside Nick Jenkins and Sarah Willingham.

He is the only Dragon out of the three to have remained on the show since.

The businessman has added to his net worth by investing in property and he owns homes in upmarket Kensington as well as near Clapham Common.

The Dragons’ Den investor has a fortune of £40million, according to Spear’s magazine.

She is one of the longest serving investors, first appearing on the show in 2006.

In 1988, she joined her family’s business running amusement arcade operations.

Deborah used this experience to join holiday part operator Weststar Holidays four years later.

She sold the majority of her shares in 2006 for a whopping £33million.

The businesswoman lives in a period home with her husband in Somerset and has invested in various other different properties.
