FIFA have REJECTED Chelsea's appeal against a 12-month transfer ban.

Chelsea had challenged the sentence handed to them for flouting regulations over the signing of youth players.

But Fifa have thrown out their appeal – leaving the Premier League club banned from signing any new players for the next TWO transfer windows.

The Blues now need to decide whether to appeal the latest decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sports in an effort to get it overturned.

CHELSEA'S transfer ban has been upheld after Fifa rejected an appeal.

That means as things stand the club will not be able to sign any players for the next two windows.

The only thing the Blues can do now is appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and attempt to get the ban frozen and/or overturned.

CHELSEA fans have begged their club not to make a summer move for Philippe Coutinho after his shocker for Barcelona against Liverpool.

Making a return to Anfield, Coutinho was subbed off on the hour-mark for Nelson Semedo after a spectacular flop against his former club.

It was a horrendous day all-round for Barca as they were thumped 4-0 by Liverpool and dumped out of the Champions League.

French newspaper L'Equipe, notoriously harsh with their match ratings, probably got it spot on marking him a THREE out of ten.

Only team-mate and fellow Liverpool old boy Luis Suarez scored lower, bagging a 2/10.

The Brazilian left Anfield for Barcelona in January 2018 for a whopping £145million.

But since his move, Coutinho has failed to light up the Nou Camp, and has been linked with a move away this summer.

And Chelsea are one of the clubs believed to be interested in bringing him back to the Premier League, especially if Eden Hazard leaves for Real Madrid.

Manchester United are also sniffing around the 26-year-old.

But Blues fans are not happy at the thought of Coutinho joining the Stamford Bridge mob.

One fan posted on Twitter: “Chelsea should never think of replacing Hazard with Coutinho never.”

Another Blues fan was much more scathing.

They wrote: “Coutinho is f***ing awful. As bad as Willian. Chelsea better not waste money on him.”

And Amrit Saikia wrote: “I hope Chelsea stay clear of Coutinho.”

TOMAS KALAS has reportedly told Chelsea he wants to quit the club this summer after growing tired of being shipped out to clubs around Europe.

Kalas has been sent on loan six times in nine years as a Chelsea player and is now fed up with being a footballing nomad.

The Czech international defender has spent this season impressing in the Championship at Bristol City but knows his chances of a first team role at Stamford Bridge are thin.

And football.london say the 25-year-old now wants to find a club that will take him on a permanent basis so he can finally settle down.

Since arriving at Chelsea as a highly-rated teenager, Kalas has enjoyed loans at Sigma Olomouc, Vitesse Arnhem, FC Koln, Middlesbrough and Fulham before this year's stay at Bristol City.

He was handed a new four-year contract by Chelsea in 2017, but it appears the West London club see little chance of him ever making the grade at the club.

He has made only four first team appearances during his nine years with the Blues, all of which were five years ago.
