MANCHESTER UNITED have flown to the other side of the world with Paul Pogba tagging along despite heavy speculation of a move elsewhere.
The Red Devils, who kick off their pre-season tour of Australia against Perth Glory on Saturday, have taken new signings Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James with them – but they are not finished in the transfer market.
Among them is Harry Maguire with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appearing to have already seen off competition from Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola.
But they are still trying to agree a fee for the Leicester City centre-back.
Isco and Gareth Bale have also been linked with swapping the white of Real Madrid with Man United’s red – but only because the Spanish giants are trying to entice Pogba to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Yet, they could be beaten to the punch as Juventus have reportedly tabled a £120m bid for their former player.
Pogba, who left the Italian champions for a return to Old Trafford in 2016, is being tipped to helped the Serie A giants realise their Champions League dream and boost commercial revenue.
That would be some marketability with Cristiano Ronaldo already in Turin.
It is not just the Frenchman eyeing a move away from Old Trafford, as Romelu Lukaku edges closer to heading to Inter Milan.
But United have thrown a spanner in the works by rejecting the Italian side’s plans to include either Radja Nainggolan or Mauro Icardi in the deal.
