Fans convinced Arsenal star Gabriel has had hair transplant as pictures show defender's amazing transformation

FANS are convinced Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes has had a hair transplant after spotting the defender's amazing new look.

The 24-year-old showed off an incredibly sharp hairstyle during Wednesday night's end-to-end 4-2 win against Chelsea.

But some Gunners fans were left more impressed by Gabriel's incredible hair transformation than the actual result.

The Brazilian defender wowed onlookers with a smart short back and sides trim at Stamford Bridge.

Compare that to pictures of Gabriel from earlier this month, and the Arsenal man is almost unrecognisable.

Training snaps taken at the Gunners' London Colney base show Gabriel with a visibly receding hairline.

And Arsenal fans have been left impressed by his transformation.

One wrote on social media: "So this is the cut that brought the luck…"

Another joked: "That hairline is the biggest comeback since 2005 Istanbul."

A third quipped: "Gabriel Megalhaes new hair gives me hope. We've reached a turning point."

Others compared Gabriel to Arsenal colleague Rob Holding, who underwent a hair transplant last year.

Posting a snap of Holding in response to the Gabriel pictures, one joked: "Must be like 50% off on hair transplant if you play for Arsenal."

Gabriel has enjoyed his best season yet in an Arsenal shirt this term, forming a solid partnership with summer signing Ben White.

He has missed just three Premier League games this campaign, and has also found the back of the net on three occasions.
