Team USA took care of business Monday against Brazil with an 89-73 victory that sends the Americans to the quarterfinals of the FIBA World Cup.
Even better, the victory clinches a spot for the U.S. in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The U.S. moves on to face France on Wednesday in Dongguan, China, in the World Cup quarterfinals.
The victory runs Team USA’s record to 5-0 in the tournament. While the team has had some tough moments — notably the overtime squeaker against Turkey in the group stage — the U.S. simply had too much firepower for Brazil (3-2), which was eliminated from the World Cup.
