Golf tips and betting offers – Three picks for the Honda Classic: Claim risk free £20 bet with Paddy Power

THE HONDA Classic takes place this week in south Florida.

And we've got you covered for some betting tips – with the field weaker than in recent weeks, and some value available.

Daniel Berger and Sung-Jae Im are the top two rated players in the field, while Lee Westwood is playing a third straight week after back to back second places.

Paddy Power are offering new customers a risk free £20 bet, which you can claim here*.

To take advantage of the offer simply sign up, and place a £20 bet on any sportsbook market, and if it loses Paddy Power will refund you in cash.

And SunSport's golf correspondent David Facey brings you his tips for the event.

Tips for Honda Classic
Hot tip – Shane Lowry, 18-1.
It was tempting to side with Lee Westwood at the same price, especially after he finished fourth here last year.

But you just have to wonder whether the tank might be empty after so many high pressure rounds around the top of the leaderboard.
Lowry played his best golf in ages to finish eighth at the Players. He would have been right in the mix if it had not been for a sloppy second round 74.

Started 69-69 here last year before fading into a tie for 21st – will put four good rounds together soon.
Mid price – Talor Gooch, 28-1
Gooch went into the notebook as one to watch out for when the stars took a break – as most of them have this week – after he finished 12th at the Genesis, and his fifth place at Sawgrass was more evidence he is heading the right way.
That was a big deal, as it lifted Gooch to 64th in the world rankings, earning him the final spot in the World Match Play.

He will be bubbling after that, and also shot a couple of 69s in the 2020 Honda – although his other rounds were not so pretty!
Long shot – Mackenzie Hughes, 66-1
I expected last year’s runner-up to be a lot shorter in the market, despite missing the cut at Sawgrass – he arrived here last year on the back of five successive weekends off, but took an immediate liking to the course.
Finished last year strongly with am impressive showing in the FedEx Cup play-offs.

He eventually took seventh place at the Tour Championship, with plenty of top players behind him.

Has to contend if he reproduces anything approaching that sort of form.
