Fortnite teased “the end is near” leading up to its live event on Sunday, but no one actually thought it would end.
But now gamers are curious after the live event made it so you can’t play the game. It’s unclear what exactly is happening, but Fortnite’s official Twitter account has gone black.
If you didn’t watch the live event, we’ll catch you up.
The countdown ticked down to zeroes, at which point the rocket launched. Following that, we saw several rockets in the sky going through loops. Eventually missiles began firing down from the comet on the map, and the comet then left. But it later reappeared, which led to what appears to be a black hole.
The black hole then sucked everything into it. The map is gone. The battle bus left. And even the character you were playing while watching disappeared. After everything was sucked into the black hole, users saw a black loading screen. After about a minute, the black hole shows up in the center with a red exit button in the bottom right corner.
Fornite live streamed the event, which you can view below.

If you press exit, you leave the game. But other than that, gamers can take no action at the moment. All we have from Fortnite is their latest tweet which reads “…” with a live stream of the event.
We’ll update this post if Fortnite releases any more information.
