Amanda Holden has sparked 235 Ofcom complaints after Britain’s Got Talent viewers felt her dress was a bit too ‘revealing’.
The BGT judge, who donned a beautiful blue gown on Saturday’s semi-final, came under fire from viewers who felt the dress was ‘indecent’ and ‘inappropriate’.
Some viewers even claimed their could see Amanda’s ‘nipples’.
TV watchdog Ofcom confirmed to the Daily Mirror that they received 277 complaints in total from Saturday’s show – with 235 of them being about Amanda’s dress.
Many BGT fans took to Twitter on the night to comment on Amanda’s dress.
One viewer commented: ‘Amanda’s gonna have a wardrobe malfunction if she doesn’t sort her dress out.’
While another said: ‘is it just me or is Amanda Holden’s dress a little too low.’
One added: ‘Can someone tell Amanda to adjust her dress top.’
Amanda has since responded to the complaints, taking to her Instagram story she made light of the situation as she commented: ‘Mmmm really? Who has nipples this close to their cleavage? FYI a bones corset dented the girls all night.’
During the fourth semi-final, the judges put comedian Jon Courtenay through to the final.
After all the acts had performed, the judges had whittled it down to magician Jasper Cherry, singer Belinda Davids and of course, comedian Jon.
And while they agreed that all three acts were incredible and were worthy of going through to the final, they could only pick one – and they picked Jon.
Metro.co.uk has reached out to ITV and Amanda Holden’s rep for comment.
Britain’s Got Talent’s semi-final airs on Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
