Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) has been through a hell of a lot in Hollyoaks over the past few months, but — in spite of the constant heartache — there is seemingly light at the end of the tunnel for the young lad, as he finally learns the truth about what really happened on the night of the hit and run.
Poor Harry had every reason to be excited when he returned to the village at the beginning of the year. Yes, the time away had done him the world of good and — upon his return — he was able to convince James (Gregory Finnegan) to give him another chance. However, James’ decision to purchase a new car for his beau would inadvertently spoil everything.
On the night in question, Liam (Jude Monk McGowan) planned to cheer an emotional Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) up by stealing Harry’s new vehicle. During the pair’s joyride, an argument broke out, and they knocked down Grace (Tamara Wall). Afterwards, Harry not only became prime suspect in the police investigation, he also became public enemy number one — with Grace holding him personally responsible.
The past few months have had a devastating effect on Harry — and his relationship with James has suffered as a result. However, his nightmare could finally be at an end as — in the coming episodes — he overhears a very interesting conversation between Mercedes and Liam.
During the conversation, the pair discuss the hit and run — and, as a result, Harry learns that Mercedes was the one driving his car that night.
With a possible way out of this mess within his grasp, he wastes little time in confronting Mercedes, and begs her to go to the police.
How will Mercy react now that her cover’s been blown? Will she agree to help Harry out?
If not, will Harry hang about in Hollyoaks or will he go on the run?
One to watch: Monday 22nd July at 7pm on E4.
