I'm A Celebrity is taking place within the grounds of Gwrych Castle – and the team are reportedly keen to make a star out of the resident cat, Lloyd.
The hit ITV show usually takes place down under but because of the coronavirus pandemic, the upcoming series is taking place closer to home.
Gwrych Castle, a Grade I listed 19th-century country house near Abergele in Conwy County Borough, Wales, is home to a cat called Lloyd, and the feline is well-loved by visitors who visit the estate.
The site is now closed until the new year, however, the team have reassured visitors that Lloyd is being well looked after and is in good hands.
With the crew now assembling various structures within the grounds, one worried fan asked how Lloyd would cope with the slew of people.
Castle bosses replied: "He will be a star."
And it seems Lloyd has already settled into his newfound status by recording a video for I'm A Celeb! presenters Ant & Dec.
In the video, a voiceover for Lloyd says: "Hello, Lloyd here, Gwrych Castle number one representative.
"Well I've been told we are going to have some guests coming soon, the Ant and the Dec apparently, and I need to adjust my accent to make them feel comfortable."
He then puts on a cheery Geordie accent, playfully adding: "Well hello there boys, my name is Lloyd and I'm a cat and I'm in charge of this here pile of castle, so watch yourselves."
Since ITV announced the upcoming series would be filmed at the castle, fans of Lloyd have urged bosses to make sure Lloyd is involved in some way.
One wrote: "Such a talented cat… This could be your big break Lloyd!
"Will Lloyd be starring in the show? I really think he should. Such a rare talent in a cat he’d be brilliant," another chipped in.
While a third wrote: "I'm sure he'll get on the television at some point."
