Inside Adele's Gatsby-themed birthday party as she celebrated turning 31 at £100million mansion with Leonardo DiCaprio's parents as guests

ADELE held a Gatsby-themed birthday party in the £100 million Godfather mansion, home to the horse's head in the famed 1972 movie.

The chart topper rang in her 31st year with a lavishly wild, alcohol-fuelled bash, just like the titular character in The Great Gatsby.

The Tottenham born singer is a huge Leonardo DiCaprio fan and added a touch of real Gatsby glamour by inviting the actor and his parents, step-dad David Ward and mum Irmelin, to celebrate with her.

It comes after she hosted a Titanic-themed bash, dressing as Kate Winslet's Rose, for her 30th last year.

Adele's party house is a 29-bedroom mansion that cost £458,000 a month to rent back in 2013, according to the The New York Daily News.

It was the setting of the famous Godfather scene which saw John Morley wake up to a bloodied horse head.

Leo's stepdad David referenced the fun fact when he shared a glimpse inside the bash on Instagram and wrote: "Celebrated Adele’s 31st at the most amazing Gatsby esque and lavish gig last night.

"All cell phones were handed in by guests and no paparazzi present.

"Kinda like cowboys handing over there weapons to Wyatt Earp in Tombstone back in the Wild West days.

"Party held at the iconic Godfather mansion, home to the the horses head in the famed 1972 movie."

Dancers were spotted wearing intricate feathered headdresses in black and white photos that Adele shared on Instagram.

She also revealed her 1920s hairdo with a smooth parting and permed body, and wore a metalic fitted dress.

The star said it had been a ‘complicated’ year in the emotional birthday post about loving herself after her marriage split.

In the candid post, Hometown Glory hitmaker Adele insisted while she's experienced a 'hard' year, she's looking forward to the future.

The award-winning musician confirmed her split from husband Simon, 45, last month .

The couple, who met in 2011 and married in secret five years later, said they're committed to raising their son Angelo, six, together 'lovingly'.
