KATIE Price today declared she was “back on her feet” after a nightmare year – but faces being banned from driving AGAIN.
The 41-year-old model claimed she now had a “clearer mindset” after her life careered out of control.
And she pledged she was “tackling her issues” as she tried to reign in last year’s chaos.
The statement was read at Bromley Magistrates Court today where she was charged with refusing to name who was driving her car during a crash.
A judge said Price – also known as Jordan – could now be banned from motoring because she currently has six points on her license.
In a statement read in her absence by District Judge Robert Hunter, she said: “Back in October my mental health was seriously affected.
“I sought help from a rehab centre for PTSD.
“During this time I wasn’t in control of my work, property or mail or in general.
“I am now in a clearer mindset and tackling my issues and getting back on my feet.
“I wasn’t driving at the time. I plead guilty.”
Price had originally pleaded not guilty but had thought better of it before the trial started.
Initially there had been some confusion over which of her previous driving offences the charge was over.
But prosecutor Trevor Green said it was a new crash not previously sentenced by a court.
FACING ANOTHER BAN
Cop Diane Davis’s brief statement said a report had been received on October 8 over the incident.
It alleged that Price’s £130k pink Range Rover has been involved in a crash in Bexley before failing to stop.
District Judge Hunter adjourned the case to August because the punishment could leave her unable to drive.
He ordered: “She has got to be sent a mail she is now liable for disqualification if she wants to make any representations.
“We can’t take this further today.”
Price has had a nightmare year of motoring offences and mental health battles she has spoken publicly about herself.
In February she was convicted of being drunk in charge of her car which had crashed.
She was found in the back seat in the early hours of October 10 wearing a hoodie, socks and trainers, but no pants, and denied she had been driving, blaming a friend of her boyfriend.
Price, of Horsham, West Sussex, had drunk four porn star martinis but was found not guilty of a separate charge of drink driving.
She told Bexley Magistrates' Court at the time that a mystery man had been driving her car but Judge Nigel Dean found she was not a "plausible" or "credible" witness.
In January she got a three-month driving ban and fined £1,100 after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and not having third-party insurance.
Earlier this month she said of her rehab stint: “It wasn’t about drugs or drink or nothing like that. I had severe PTSD because I couldn’t cope with all the s**t that was going on.”
