LAURA Whitmore has revealed she suffered a miscarriage last year after an unplanned pregnancy with boyfriend Iain Stirling.
The 34-year-old discovered she had lost her baby when doctors failed to detect a heartbeat during her twelve week scan.
The presenter, who has been dating Love Island voiceover star Iain for over two years, admitted she she wasn’t sure if she should “cry or be emotional” about her loss.
Writing about her experience in Hot Press, Laura revealed she was shocked when she discovered she was pregnant and “didn't want her life to change”.
She found out she was expecting after noticing her boobs had grown following a trip to Italy.
Determined to “be pregnant and have fun” she head to the GQ Awards that night.
Describing her 12 week scan, she wrote: “In the room I could see the outline of what looked like a jelly baby – just like in the movies. Then silence.”
The doctor told her: “I’m sorry there’s no heart-beat.”
She continued: "I wasn't sure how I was supposed to react. Should I cry? Was I allowed be emotional for something unplanned?"
Laura went on to say she felt "alone" when dealing wither miscarriage but added that the experience made her realise that she does want children.
The Irish beauty started dating Iain in 2017 and the couple moved in together last year.
Funnyman Iain previously admitted that he gets told he's "punching" quite a lot but he agrees.
He said: "I don't mind it, because it just means I've done better haven't I? I've got someone who's like me, but much, much better. And Laura's got someone who's like her, but much worse.
"I think I've done quite well out of it, but I'm dead happy because she's lovely and stuff."
