Love Island daily briefing scenes are so upsetting says ex-Casa Amor bombshell

Love Island star Amy Day has revealed contestants are told to separate during the daily morning briefings.

The 26-year-old singer and actress tried her luck on the ITV2 dating show last summer and entered the villa as one of the Casa Amor bombshells.

She managed to woo Hugo Hammond and he later picked her to join him back into the main villa to continue their time on the show together.

The pair have since split and Amy has told Daily Star that ITV bosses told the Casa Amor stars to have "separate" chats away from the original cast members.

The Islanders have daily debriefs in groups each morning to discuss the events from the previous day.

However, new arrivals often have their own group conversations away from their other co-stars.

Speaking at the National Reality TV Awards, the reality star said: "It was upsetting because the main girls were so welcoming and nice but we were kind of told to separate. It's just produced that way.

"I kind of had a clean cut because I didn't take anyone's man but I know for the others it was crazy.

"There was so much pressure to be a Casa Amor bombshell, it's terrifying."

It comes after Amy revealed some of the show's biggest secrets during a Facebook Live chat.

She left slip that alongside the main villa Hideaway there were also other hotspots for the contestants to get it on if they were ever in the mood.

Amy explained: "So, do you know what's really funny, there was actually a door in Casa Amor that says 'Hideaway' by the way, it was the same Casa Amor as last year.

"There was a door right by the front door on the left and it said 'Hideaway'.

"No one used it but they have it there just in case for whatever reason two people need to like disappear and let off some steam.

"But no, in Casa Amor, you go on the day beds and there is a little wooden hammock around the back that's normally where it would happen.

"There were loads of little spaces to do it."

Love Island airs tonight on ITV2 and ITVHub at 9pm
