Love Islands Gemma and Davide have no fireworks, says body language expert

Body language expert Hayley Quinn says Love Island stars Gemma Owen and Davide Sanclimenti could "falter" as they both share an eagerness to be pursued.

Watching the newly formed couple over the last few days, Hayley, who is a dating and body language expert for online dating service Match, discovered that there wasn't any "fireworks" between the gorgeous duo.

Sharing her thoughts, Hayley believes that Gemma and Davide will have "to dig a little deeper to find out if something is worthy of pursuing".

And with islander Luca Bish now showing Gemma interest, Davide might be soon left out in the cold.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, the expert said: "When Davide chose Gemma to couple up with, we collectively flinched as we felt Liam's pain at being side-lined.

"However, when Gemma and Davide were united there weren't any fireworks. Instead Gemma stood awkwardly to Davide's side and their body language looked tense.

"It almost seemed like neither were too bothered about the match. This could be the pressure of the night, or feeling bad for Liam, but most likely it's because they're actually not sure about each other."

She added: "In the coming days and weeks, if the couple are to really make a go for it, we should expect to see some more intimacy between the two, or at least standing closer to each other for a start! Only time will tell, but they’ll need to dig a little deeper to find out if something is worthy of pursuing between the two."

Hayley could also sense an instant attraction between Gemma and Davide when the bombshell entered the villa on the first night but recognises that they need to put their egos to one side.

The expert explained: "When Davide walked into the villa, Gemma was instantly attracted to him. However, this coupling could be a classic example of choosing someone based on initial attraction, rather than any real compatibility.

"Davide was attracted to Gemma's looks and coy attitude – she seemed to play it very cool. However, once this initial chase has faded, they’ll be left with working out what they have in common.

"Apart from being different people, the couple could also falter as both Gemma and Davide expect to be pursued by their partner. The sense of wanting the other to make all the effort in a relationship, doesn’t scream that they are truly after anything real, or long lasting."
