Meet the 007 Road to a Million contestants of the James Bond reality series

As people continue to question who will be the next 007, James Bond fans were treated to a new reality series inspired by the popular high-stakes film series.

007 Road to a Million premiered on Prime Video and saw nine pairs of everyday people compete against each team to win a whopping £1 million each.

The cast was transported across the world on an epic global adventure through a series of Bond-inspired challenges.

The contestants’ fate is in the hands of Succession’s Logan Roy star Brian Cox, known as The Controller, who is portrayed as a villain of the show.

Here’s everything you need to know about the nine pairs up for the challenge of taking home the mammoth cash prize.

James and Joey

Brothers James and Joey from South West London grew up in a house of four siblings but despite their six-year age gap they agreed to take part together.

Joey is a trained electrician who completed The Knowledge in his twenties before becoming a black cab driver. He has since returned to the trade and runs his own electrician business.

While James is a creative who describes himself as a “copywriter by day and musician by night.”

Although money is a strong motivation for the pair, they are in it for the adventure and the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with each other and recapture some of the fun moments they’ve shared before settling down with their respective partners

Beth and Jen

Jen trained as a nurse in Dorset and worked in a prison, then joined the RAF reserves and trained to go to Afghanistan in 2010 to assist with bringing injured soldiers home.

Beth has worked in emergency departments internationally, she now works as an advanced clinical practitioner in Gloucestershire in the urgent care clinic.

The two both love an adventure and want to challenge themselves.

Kamara and Josh 

Kamara and Josh met at work while they were working as youth workers in their local community and the two have since welcomed three children.

Kamara is more daring and riskier than Josh, when a decision needs to be made, she will take the lead.

Viewers will see Josh motivate them up a mountain while Kamara will ensure they’re organised.

The duo will use this time for themselves as a couple and after overcoming obstacles with cultural differences and families merging, they look forward to celebrating their initial spark for travel and adventure.

Saiqa and Sana

Saiqa and Sana are sisters who are only 18 months apart in age, and after living in Bahrain and Dubai they now reside with their grandparents in London.

Sana is a process engineer and Saiqa is a fraud analyst, they are keen on an adventure together and would love to create long-lasting memories

As for their strengths, Sana copes well under pressure and is measured and calm. Saiqa is good at talking to people and being decisive

James and Sam

This father and son duo share a close bond although James is often away working at oil rigs and despite this Sam describes their relationship more as a “friendship.”

James and Sam have always talked about travelling the world together. As James has been away so much for work, he admits to missing half of his son’s life.

After Sam moved out last year, they have been missing each other even more, so this would be a great opportunity to fulfil their travel dream but also reconnect, and spend time together.

Keith and Nick 

Keith and Nick are two retired police officers whose years of service mean they can work calmly under pressure.

Although they enjoy a joke not much rattles them, they’re good at quickly assessing environments to complete the task at hand.

With their policing careers behind them, this pair are yearning for a thrilling adventure together that will exhilarate and in part take them back to their glory days.

Danny and Colin

This duo met 10 years ago through their wives and later learned their fathers come from the same parish in Jamaica.

Fast forward a decade and Danny says they are “brothers from another mother.”

Danny is resourceful, level-headed and can keep calm under pressure while Colin is calculated and can deal with things that happen off the cuff due to his work environment.

With the prize money, they hope to set their families up for the future and pay off their mortgages.

Grace and Daniella 

These friends met in 2012 while working at Capital Radio in Glasgow and bonded over giving out leaflets in cold shopping centres and driving around as runners for the station.

Now they’re fully fledged radio presenters, with Daniella having presented on Radio 1 and Grace having her own morning breakfast show.

Back home in Inverness, Grace is a quiz host a few nights a week in local bars and has a good general knowledge base while Daniella is the enthusiastic, motivator of the team and will constantly ensure they “thrive.”

Tanaka and James

Tanaka describes James as a ladies’ man and remembers a “swarm of girls” around him at school, whilst he was the school sports star.

They remained close friends throughout university and often visited each other and have since shared travelling trips to Brazil, South Africa, and Colombia.

These friends are both passionate and motivated to win. They’ll have fun and have each other’s backs.

James is also the risk taker and Tanaka will want to play it safe.
