Chloe (played by April Rose Pengilly) has been desperate to spend as much time as possible with mother Fay Brennan (Zoe Bertram) since she returned to Neighbours earlier this month. Suffering from Huntington’s Disease, the latter knows she doesn’t have much time left and has wanted to fulfil every dream on her bucket list. Although recent scenes on the Channel 5 soap have seen the ailing character’s condition deteriorate, upcoming episodes will see the Brennan matriarch pass away as a result of her daughter’s actions.
Earlier this week, Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Maloney) organised for Fay to have a chocolate tasting experience which was a request on her bucket list.
However, due to her condition, the matriarch wasn’t supposed to eat any of the tasty treats but she convinced Chloe to place a little bit on her tongue.
Although she had nothing but a tickle in her throat after, which did cause some concern with David Tanaka (Takaya Honda), Fay will be put on an end of life care plan.
Having given her mother the piece of chocolate, Chloe will surely feel an immense sense of guilt over the situation.
Unfortunately, by the end of next week, Fay will pass away with her children and expectant grandchildren around her.
Combined with the guilt of giving her mother a taste of chocolate, Chloe might think the only way she can make peace with what happened is to leave Ramsay Street.
Therefore, she would no longer be around her brother Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), who could blame his sister for their mother’s death.
Taking to Twitter, viewers also think Chloe is going to be feeling an immense sense of guilt a one wrote: “I knew it. Fay has Aspiration pneumonia (From inhaling the chocolate that Chloe put on her tongue). Nothing they can do #neighbours.”
Another posted: “Oh no. Chloe’s gonna end up blaming herself for giving Fay the chocolate #Neighbours.”
She has had a very tough year

Whilst a third commented in defence of Chloe: “How mean is that? Having cakes [baked] for Fay – and then eating them in front of her, knowing she’s not allowed to eat them! #Neighbours.”
However, another take on the situation could be the savvy character wants to make the most of her life as she also carries the Huntington’s gene.
Speaking exclusively with Express.co.uk, the actress who plays Chloe, April, 32, has discussed her alter-ego’s reaction to a turbulent year.
Asked about what’s to come, the soap star said: “I really don’t know what the future holds for Chloe!”

“I hope she has some good times ahead of her – she has had a very tough year, what with a miscarriage, being cheated on, a divorce, and finally losing her mother,” April added.
“So I think it’s high time we saw the return of ‘Fun Chloe’,” the actress declared, so could the idea of living every moment see her make a heartbreaking exit?
Chloe leaving Ramsay Street would certainly send shockwaves around Erinsborough and destroy those around her.
One person, in particular, would be Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes), who becomes a great support to Chloe in the initial aftermath of Fay’s death.
Having spent the best part of a year fighting a romantic connection between them, the two women will finally become a couple.
However, a life-changing decision to leave Ramsay Street could be the biggest hurdle the pair have had to face yet.
A double-exit could be on the cards if Nicolette decides she doesn’t want to lose her girlfriend and goes with her – after giving birth to David and Aaron’s baby that is.
It could be Fay’s death was what was needed to finally bring the two women together after so long.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm on Channel 5.
