Ranvir Singh says she’s auditioning for Piers Morgan’s job on GMB

Ranvir Singh has hinted she's vying for Piers Morgan's old job as a co-host of Good Morning Britain after he quit the ITV show last week.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional brazenly joked with Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard during Wednesdays's show that her 'audition wasn't going well'.

The starlet made the comment after Susanna playfully accused her of being over supportive to the Loose Women team.

Chatting about the show's recent award win, Ranvir said: "I love them there. I've done a little bit."

Pretending to be shocked, Susanna hit out: "Oh, you love them there?" emphasising the there.

Ranvir replied: "I love them there. It's on at 12.30pm Loose Women.

"It's a good time of day isn't it. You can have a full nights sleep."

Chiming in, Ben teased Ravnir would be able to watch loads of Netflix shows if he was a Loose Women."

Laughing, Ranvir continued: "I think my audition is going really badly."

Stunned Susanna hit out: "Are you auditioning?"

"I'm joking. Are we on the telly? I'm saying too much," the starlet chuckled.

Earlier in the programme Ranvir expressed her excitement at returning to the main GMB desk after 12 months.

Ben said: "Ranvir is usually asleep in the dressing room, she just said are 'we going back on air?'"

Agreeing the host replied: I am [giddy].

"I haven't sat here all the way though a show because of Covid for a year.

"I am usually having a nap in my dressing room at this point."

After thousands of viewers complained to Ofcom – including the Duchess of Sussex – Piers was called into a meeting with ITV bosses and asked to make a TV apology.

He flat out refused and instead quit his role on the show.

Taking to Instagram the following morning, Piers stood by his decision arguing he was simply defending the right to free speech.
