Spoilers: Ian exposed as Dotty reveals the truth to Sharon as EastEnders returns

Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was left in complete and utter disbelief in EastEnders, as Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) revealed that Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) is to blame for Dennis Rickman’s (Bleu Landau) demise.

The BBC One soap returned to screens tonight (September 7) in an explosive fashion, delivering a shocking Doof Doof that left us on the edge of our seats!

Yes, after months of harbouring knowledge about Ian’s role in Dennis’ death, Dotty decided to take action.

The young woman was due in court, as viewers will remember that — prior to the hiatus — she was arrested in Ruby’s after Ian reported her to the police as a means of revenge.

However, Ian and Dotty evidently came to an agreement, as he retracted his statement in exchange for her silence.

Naturally, Ian continued to rub his ‘good’ deed in Dotty’s face, and asked for a little gratitude too.

Fed up of hearing how heroic the restaurateur is, thr young woman drew inspiration from her dad Nick (John Altman) and headed straight for the Queen Vic in order to spill the beans.

Sharon’s interest was piqued as Dotty revealed how it’s important for one to be honest — while Ian squirmed, hoping that Dotty wouldn’t follow through.

Unfortunately for him, she did, as she revealed that Ian locked Dennis in a room on a party boat — which ultimately resulted in the young boy’s death.

It was an almighty Doof Doof — one that made clear EastEnders is back and as compelling as ever!

EastEnders continues Tuesday September 8 at 7:35pm one BBC One.
