Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) is determined to expose Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) in Coronation Street for the abuser that he is, and Tim (Joe Duttine) might have just given her the ammunition to do so.
With the previous episode (September 2) having seen Alya (Sair Khan) lash out and destroy Speed Daal after Geoff continued to play mind games, Tim attempted to find out what was going on in tonight’s instalment (September 4).
While Geoff continued to mock and belittle Alya, Tim seemed rather concerned for her. What’s more, he was even more concerned about his dad’s lack of compassion.
Ryan (Ryan Prescott) revealed that Geoff has been manipulating and controlling Alya for quite some time now, and while Geoff attempted to make out that he was lying, Tim started to suspect maybe his dad isn’t as innocent as he’s making out.
He returned home — unable to stay in Geoff’s company any longer — and pondered recent events.
Sally knew full well that Geoff was behind Alya’s breakdown, and proceeded to remind her husband of the amount of people on the cobbles that have had stories to share about his dad’s controlling behaviour.
However, as Tim attempted to defend Geoff, he let slip about the existence of the CCTV camera — something which left Sally in shock.
She revealed that having a camera installed in one’s own home implies that Geoff wanted to keep an eye on Yasmeen (Shelley King).
Tim refused to listen to his wife berate his dad any further and therefore stormed out, but Sally’s interest was piqued by the camera revelation.
Will she investigate and locate any potential footage?
If so, will she succeed in taking Geoff down?
Coronation Street continues Monday September 7 at 7:30pm on ITV.
