Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has had a rough few months in EastEnders, but things are about to get much worse as her worst fears come to light.
After being terrorised for weeks on end by her stalker, Stacey was horrified to learn that it was all down to tutor Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis).
Terrifying scenes saw him hold her hostage in her kitchen after revealing the awful truth, while daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) was in labour in the other room.
Thankfully, Stacey was able to escape in time to help Lily deliver her baby.
In upcoming scenes, sleepless nights courtesy of baby Charli cause tensions to rise in the Slater household.
‘She hasn’t had time to deal with any of her emotions towards the situation because she’s knows she needs to be strong for Lily,’ actress Lacey Turner revealed.
‘I think she’s running on autopilot. Lily and the baby are her main responsibility but underneath it all she’s struggling.’
Though Stacy has taken charge of caring for Charli, Lily convinces her to go to work with Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and let her take care of her own daughter.
After some persuasion, Stacey agrees, but with Lily in charge, things quickly get out of hand.
It isn’t long before Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) catches Lily and Ricky Mitchell (Frankie Day) clowning around with baby Charli, and he is absolutely furious.
When he marches over to Stacey, throwing out accusations, she is as angry as she is mortified.
In the following days, Stacey and Lily are forced to fake that everything is perfect in front of the social worker, when really the pair are majorly clashing.
Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) soon notices the tension, and advises Stacey not to be so hard on her daughter, and to allow Lily to make mistakes and learn from them.
However, Stacey struggles to relinquish control, and ends up getting a telling off from Jean.
Stacey is quick to reveal exactly why she is behaving the way she is, as Lacey revealed.
‘Jean knows Stacey like the back of her hand, so she knows that there’s something bigger going on that’s bothering her. Stacey’s been putting on this act, but she finally drops it with her mum and tells her how scared she is that Theo might come back. I think she feels relieved to finally share how she’s feeling.’
Jean soon reminds her that Theo is now gone, and Lily needs to be the one to protect Charli.
Though Jean is sure their troubles are over, she is soon proved wrong when Stacey heads outside and is face with a horrifying sight…
