The Chase fans distracted by names of players as they notice pop star connection

The Chase fans couldn’t help but point out the celebrity connection to hit singers Lily Allen and Craig David during Thursday’s instalment of the hit ITV game show.

Bradley Walsh returned to the popular daytime show as he welcomed this week’s group of quiz heads to take on the Chaser in order to bring home the cash prize.

But even the Governess Anne Hegerty couldn’t help but point out the comical connection of this week’s line up on the show.

As the contestants got comfortable in their seats, the former Coronation Street star introduced viewers at home to Lilly, Alan, Craig and David.

And it didn’t take long before fans took to Twitter to discuss the strange coincidence online.

One user penned: “Loving the 4 contestants name today: Lilly Alan, Craig David,” with five cry laughing emojis.

Another fan of the show added: “Lilly Alan Craig David. I see what you’re doing there, as a third pondered: “Lily Alan and Craig David on the show?”

Elsewhere, another viewer noted: “Lilly Craig and Alan David were a great folk duo from the 1960’s. Very clever from #TheChase production people.”
