THIS Morning’s Alison Hammond has landed her biggest job yet – co-hosting the 2023 EE BAFTAs.
Bosses of the posh black-tie event are hoping the former Big Brother hopeful turned daytime TV national treasure will add fresh interest into the evening amid tumbling ratings globally for award shows across the board.
In the most radical shake-up of the BAFTAs in their 75 year history, the BBC One broadcast will be split between the main ceremony hosted by British acting legend Richard E. Grant and a brand new backstage BAFTA studio which Alison will head up.
In a move away from the seemingly never ending list of awards, for the first time ever just the final four awards will be broadcast live.
Chatting about landing the gig, Brummy Alison said: “I'm so excited to be hosting at this year's EE BAFTA Film Awards with THE Richard E. Grant.
“We're going to have a lot of fun bringing the glitz and glam of backstage to everyone watching at home around the world.

Richard, 65, will take over from 2022 host Rebel Wilson who went down a storm with viewers thanks to her savage jokes at the expense of everyone from Meghan Markle, JK Rowling and Will Smith.
Richard said: “I feel hugely privileged to be hosting the EE BAFTAs for the first time and the opportunity to celebrate the very best of the extraordinary range of this year’s films.”
In a surprise move the awards, which will take place on Sunday February 19, will be held at The Royal Festival Hall on London’s Southbank rather than the usual Royal Albert Hall.
