A GRIEVING mum has been charged over £100 for "waste disposal" to clean up her son's blood after a drink-driving police officer ran killed him.

Davide Pavan, 17, was riding his scooter in Paese, Italy, when he was allegedly hit and killed by Officer Samuel Seno on May 8, 2022.

Seno has been under house arrest in Paese as he awaits trial and is reportedly negotiating a plea bargain to avoid jail time.

Now the dead teen's furious parents have revealed they were sent a stunning £157 bill to clean up Davide's blood from the pavement where he died.

The grieving couple said: "At first we thought it was a mistake. Or a bad joke."

The bill had been sent to them to cover the costs of "waste disposal and absorbent for liquid spills" – Davide's blood.

Davide's mother Barbara added: "We received a registered letter to warn us that the wreckage of the scooter had been released and that we had to go and collect it immediately, otherwise, we would have to pay a penalty for each day of delay."

Barbara said the law is "too soft" on those who cause fatal accidents, and the fine made the family feel "abandoned".

She added: "Maybe, sooner or later, he (Seno)too will become a father.

"In that moment, looking at his son, he will finally understand what he took from me. And then, yes, I will find the strength to forgive him."
