SALT Bae is set to launch his own clothing brand as he trademarks his famous name to sell waistcoats and even lingerie.

Turkish-born internet sensation Nusret Gökçe hit the headlines for the extravagantly priced gold-coated meats on offer at his posh Kensington eatery Nusr-Et.


And now, the salt-sprinkling aficionado appears to have set his sights on clothes.

Salt Bae, 38, has trademarked his famous nickname – along with an image of him sprinkling rock salt down his arm – at the UK’s Intellectual Property Office.

The items mentioned in the legal documents include skirts, suits, jerseys, waistcoats, shirts – and even women's lingerie.

The application states others are barred from using his name and image to flog "t-shirts, sweatshirts, dresses, bermuda shorts, shorts, pajamas and pullovers", among others.

The documents add: "Enabling customers to conveniently view and purchase those goods, such services may be provided by retail stores, wholesale outlets, by means of electronic media or through mail order catalogues."

The legal protection was taken out by Salt Bae’s holding company based in Turkey.

The news of Salt Bae's future ventures comes after the chef jetted out of the UK for Saudi Arabia to open his newest outpost.

The move means the butcher-turned-chef won't be around to slice steaks and show off his salt-smattering skills tableside for adoring fans like Wayne and Coleen Rooney.

The menu features a £1,450 gold-gilded tomahawk steak, another £630 hunk of beef and a £100 burger – among other mega-expensive items.

The chef even charges £9 for a single glass of coke.
