Is this the voice of a GHOST? Chilling video captures eerie voice cry ‘Help!’ twice inside ’empty’ room: Vermont Paranormal Investigators take on case
- The video released by Paranormal Investigators of New England was captured by a woman who heard the guttural cry for help in the home she lived alone in
- In the video, you can see a woman leaving a room at about 40 seconds in and as she leaves an eerie and raspy sound saying ‘help’ can be heard
- The video then cuts to another scene of the empty room later in the night where the sounds can be heard again
- The 1:37 video shows a number of different spooky incidents experienced by the woman including the appearance of what has been described as an ‘apparition’
- The New England Paranormal Investigators (PI-NE), a team of nine people, helped the woman who sent in the video to be investigated
- The woman claims she had also been experiencing sounds, objects moving at will and the appearance of what they’ve described as an apparition
A spooky video has captured an eerie voice making a guttural cry for help – although the footage fails to show anyone standing in the room at the time.
The chilling sounds were captured by a woman, who lives alone, after she set up cameras in her home and sent the footage to the New England Paranormal Investigators (PI-NE).

The 1:37 video shows a number of different spooky incidents experienced by the woman who claims she had also been experiencing sounds, objects moving at will and the appearance of what has been described as an ‘apparition.’
The start of the video shows a man standing in a doorway, when he leaves a silhouetted and transparent like figure can be seen taking his place.
After the bizarre phenomenon was picked up on the recording, the woman, who has not been named, went straight to PI-NE who investigated the case.
PI-NE are a team of nine people, with their headquarters in Vermont.
Betty Miller, the group’s director told Fox News that people typically get in touch trying to find answers for to the unsettling occurrences.
‘By the time people reach out to us, they are at a desperation level where they want us there as soon as possible to determine what is happening,’ said Miller.
‘Most commonly, we hear the client say, ‘I just want to know if I’m crazy,’ or ‘Is this really happening?’

A video showing a guttural cry for help was released by Paranormal Investigators of New England – their director Betty Miller experiencing her own paranormal occurrences
On the group’s website Miller said her own experiences led her down the path as a real-life ghost buster in 2008 and she’s been exploring the paranormal ever since.
‘As a result of having experiences such as living in a haunted apartment, an apparition standing just feet away, to having a surreal UFO experience all in my early 20’s, my life’s path forever changed,’ she wrote.
‘I work full-time in a government job, but nights and weekends are spent serving others who are going through difficult times or just solving a really good mystery whether it’s spirits, cryptids or UFO’s experiences.
‘My beliefs are that events are put before us to lead us in the direction we are supposed to go whether it’s personal for myself or for the client.’
The mother of three son’s explained that getting answers can be a good way to get closure on the unknown.
‘I feel it’s vital to disseminate what’s real, explainable, to what cannot be scientifically accounted for and to occasionally step back and look for the overall message,’ she said.
Miller said her own experience with the unknown led her to become a real-life ghost buster in 2008 – the group was formed in 2004, however, by currently inactive member Jeff Stewart

‘Being able to lead this team who has become a second family, has led to years of rewarding satisfaction and joy, you won’t find better people with more positive upbeat attitudes, and I am indeed lucky to be a part of it.’
The group was founded in 2004 by Jeff Stewart, a currently inactive member.
Stewart started as a Paranormal Investigator in 2001 with a group from Worcester, Massachusetts.
‘I have investigated all types of paranormal phenomenon from cryptozoology, ghost, hauntings and UFOs,’ he wrote on the group’s website.
‘I founded Paranormal Investigators of New England (PI-NE) in 2004 and have trained many investigators in the field who have started their own groups in New England.’
If a client has come across something inexplicable, they can go onto the group’s website and fill out a client form where the team will evaluate the case and investigate the issue for free.
‘I have experienced one full apparition who stood watch over me while I was in bed,’ Miller said.
‘It’s a life-changing experience because it doesn’t make sense to the logical mind. As humans, we find it in our nature to have an explanation for everything — and then this happens.’
The website lists a range of apparatus from K2 meters to measure electromagnetic energy, digital voice recorders, Night heat seeking cameras and go pros to name a few.
But Miller said her preferred device is the basic audio recorder which she frequently uses in cases.
‘There is a never-ending production of new equipment available in the field, and we have a lot, which is fantastic, but it always drives back to the audio recorder,’ she said.
‘When you have a voice responding to you through the audio recorder that you did not hear in real time, you now have something solid that can’t be disputed. And that’s very exciting.’

The team are starting a New Hampshire branch and take on client’s for free through their website after assessing their cases
The team are starting a New Hampshire branch headed by Jason Engel who told Fox News that he’s seen apparitions.
‘While on a private investigation with PI-NE, I experienced an apparition manifest in front of myself and another fellow investigator,’ he said.
‘We were investigating reports of activity around an old, abandoned sugar shack on a property. After hearing knocks and sounds of someone walking around outside the shack, my fellow investigator and I stepped out of the shack and stood in front of it.
He explained that in one window of the shack, which had no glass panes, ‘a light began to form,’ began to intensify and ‘come more into focus.’
‘Slowly the face of what appeared to be a woman with dark hair began to become more discernible, but still fuzzy and not quite formed,’ he said.
‘I took a step forward and shined my light toward the figure, which instantly vanished.’
PI-NE investigator Steve Sicard, said there are ‘many reasons a spirit may stick around’ a common reason being they have ‘unfinished business.’
‘They are stuck on earth as a residual spirit repeating the same chores or actions that they did on a regular basis,’ Sicard told the broadcaster.
Miller said that there are ‘a plethora of spirits’ and many ‘possible reasons why they stay around.’
Some of those reasons are ‘not so pleasant,’ she said, and can be considered ‘demonic or never even human.’ She said the topic itself is ‘a rabbit hole to go down.’
‘I can tell you in full confidence, it exists,’ she said.
‘In a case of a traumatic departure from earth, it’s true some may not realize they are dead. I personally never ask, ‘Do you know you’re dead?’
